The Heart of RoBots team was founded in 2018 with the support of the mathematics and physics department in Secondary School No. 11 Buzau. Some of the original team members ended up at the most prestigious high school in the county, so “Heart of RoBots” is now one of the robotics teams of the National College “B.P. Hasdeu”, Buzau. Back then, the team consisted of much fewer members and we were entered in another competition within the First competition field, namely the First Lego League.
Both FLL and FTC have the same basic premise. At the beginning of the season, a new board with new missions is presented to the teams. Missions must be completed exclusively by the team robot. The teams have about 6 months to build a robot that can solve as many missions as possible.
The First competitions have other scoring categories outside of the robot category, which are designed with the STEM field at their core.
At the end of the 2020-2021 season of the First Lego League competition, the team’s results were recognized locally by the Buzău County Council and the Buzău City Hall.
First Tech Challenge is our second competition. Last season (2021-2022) we participated as a junior team, willing to rise to the same level as other teams, to gain more experience and adjust to a new scoring system. And yet, we had the pleasant surprise of ending the season with 600 points in the robotics test!
This year, two mentors coordinate 30 students of the National College “B.P. Hasdeu” from Buzau. Thus, “Heart of RoBots” is now one of the robotics teams of the most prestigious college in the county.
Piece by piece, we try to build a robot to program, to prepare it for the “First Tech Challenge” competition. Although for some of the team members it is the first year that they participate in such a competition, we all want to realize that at the end of the season, we have gained enough experience from the activities we participated in.
We take every moment of working on a better version of the robot seriously. We do not neglect any aspect, no matter how insignificant it may seem. At every meeting we are not only concerned with the good functioning of the robot, but also with the good “functioning” of our team.
After 3 years of robotics I gained experience. We all have knowledge and information that has been certified to us through awards and recognition from the Buzău County Council and the Buzău City Hall. We believe that we can meet any challenge in robotics and programming, and we look with confidence to our future activities and, why not, our future!
Echipa Heart of RoBots a fost fondată în anul 2018 cu sprijinul catedrei de matematică și de fizică din Școala Gimnazială Nr. 11 Buzău. O parte din membrii echipei originale au ajuns la cel mai prestigios liceu din județ, astfel că „Heart of RoBots” este acum una dintre echipele de robotică ale Colegiului Național „B.P. Hasdeu”, Buzău. Pe atunci, echipa era formată din mult mai puțini membri și eram înscriși în alt concurs din cadrul domeniului de competiții First, mai exact First Lego League.
Atât FLL cât și FTC au aceeași premisă la bază. La începutul sezonului, o nouă planșă cu noi misiuni este prezentată echipelor. Misiunile trebuie să fie îndeplinite exclusiv de robotul echipei. Echipele au la dispoziție aproximativ 6 luni pentru a construi un robot care să rezolve cât mai multe misiuni.
Competițiile First au și alte rubrici de punctare în afara rubricii robotului, care sunt concepute cu STEM field-ul la bază.
La finalul sezonului 2020-2021 al competiției First Lego League, rezultatele echipei au fost recunoscute pe plan local de către Consiliul Județean Buzău și de către Primăria Municipiului Buzău.
First Tech Challenge este a doua noastră competiție. Sezonul trecut (2021-2022) am participat drept echipă de juniori, dispuși să ne ridicăm la același nivel ca alte echipe, pentru a dobândi mai multă experiență și pentru a ne acomoda cu un nou sistem de punctare. Și totuși, am avut plăcuta surpriză să încheiem sezonul cu 600 de puncte in proba de robotică!

Piesă cu piesă, încercăm să construim un robot pe care să îl programăm, să îl pregătim pentru competiția “First Tech Challenge”. Deși pentru unii dintre membrii echipei este primul an în care participă într-un astfel de concurs, cu toții ne dorim că, la finalul sezonului, să realizăm că am dobândit suficientă experiență din activitățile la care am participat.
Tratăm cu seriozitate fiecare moment în care lucrăm la o variantă mai bună a robotului. Nu neglijăm niciun aspect, oricât de neînsemnat ar părea. La fiecare întâlnire nu ne preocupăm doar de o bună funcționare a robotului, ci și de o bună „funcționare” a echipei noastre.
După 3 ani de robotică am acumulat experiență. Toți deținem cunoștințe și informații ce ne-au fost certificate prin premii și recunoaștere din partea Consiliului Județean Buzău și a Primăriei Municipiului Buzău. Considerăm că putem face față oricărei provocări în materie de robotică și programare și privim cu încredere activitățile noastre viitoare și, de ce nu, viitorul nostru!
