Event development / Desfășurarea evenimentului:
After we made the decision to attend the demo and several members of the team expressed their desire to go, we began to organize to ensure that everything would go off without incident. We made checks both on the technical side and on the organizational side: we checked the train and bus schedule to facilitate travel to the Palace of Culture in Ploiesti, and then we will do tests and improvements to the robot.
Once we arrived at the demo venue, we set up our stand and did the final checks on the robot for the technical inspection. I attended both the drivers’ meeting and the conference with Mr. Cristache, meetings that developed us on both levels: technical and non-technical. After participating in a few matches, with the help of engineers from other teams we realized what is the weak point of our robot, managing to perfect it for the activities to come. Even though we didn’t qualify for the semi-finals, we were extremely happy to have the opportunity to attend and watch the other teams’ matches, cheering them on and cheering them on.
Our results were not remarkable, but nevertheless, the event remains a special moment when we met again with our friends, the ones from Hypercube, whom we met on the return train from the demo in Focșani, Game of Robots. During the day, the other teams gave us new ideas about the promotional materials, and also about the working mechanisms of the robot. Thus, this demo remains for us a day when we broadened our horizons and met new people who helped us in our development.
După ce am luat decizia de a participa la demo și mai mulți membri ai echipei și-au exprimat dorința de a merge, am început să ne organizăm pentru a ne asigura că totul va decurge fără incidente neplăcute. Am făcut verificări atât pe partea tehnică, cât și pe partea organizatorică: am verificat programul de tren și de autobuz pentru a facilita deplasarea către Palatul Culturii din Ploiești, urmând mai apoi să facem teste și îmbunătățiri robotului.
Odată ajunși în locul de desfășurare al demo-ului, ne-am pregătit standul și am făcut ultimele verificări ale robotului pentru inspecția tehnică. Am participat atât la meeting-ul driverilor, cât și la conferința cu domnul Cristache, întâlniri care ne-au dezvoltat pe ambele planuri: tehnic și non-tehnic. După ce am participat la câteva meciuri, cu ajutorul inginerilor din celelalte echipe ne-am dat seama care este punctul slab al robotului nostru, reușind să îl perfecționăm pentru activitățile următoare. Chiar dacă nu ne-am calificat în semifinale, am fost extrem de bucuroși pentru că am avut ocazia de a participa și de a privi meciurile celorlalte echipe, încurajându-i și făcând galerie pentru ei.
Rezultatele noastre nu au fost remarcabile, dar, cu toate acestea, evenimentul rămâne un moment special în care ne-am revăzut cu prietenii noștri de la echipa Hypercube, cu care ne-am cunoscut în trenul de întoarcere de la demo-ul din Focșani, Game of Robots. Pe parcursul zilei, celelalte echipe ne-au dat noi idei în legătură cu materialele promoționale și, totodată, cu mecanismele de funcționare ale robotului. Astfel, acest demo rămâne pentru noi o zi în care ne-am lărgit orizonturile și am cunoscut persoane noi care ne-au ajutat în dezvoltarea noastră.
