On the occasion of the holidays, our team wanted to come to the aid of people in need and bring a smile to the faces of children who do not have the charm of Christmas in the family. Thus, on December 20, we managed to get in touch with the center for people from abusive backgrounds and organize a meeting.
We arrived at the center where the psychologist lady explained more about how the location works. Here, children are brought who come from families either without material means, or who create an abusive environment. There are children who have been taken or who have been found running away from home. These are social cases, they are not people who created problems, just victims of abuse. Within the center, an affective involvement in their lives and integration into society is attempted. We were told to be careful and directed to the room where the children were.
There were only 7 people at the center that day, but they were incredibly happy when they saw the bags full of goodies, which made us very happy as well. While I was preparing the robot and the field, some colleagues organized some games where they had fun and received chocolates as prizes. Immediately after I explained the route to them and challenged them to try to complete it in the shortest possible time. In turn, each one drove the robot, some even more than once. They were very happy, because they had never had the opportunity to do this before, nor had they seen robots like this before.
Adelin shared her passion for paper airplanes, discovered during this season’s drone launch challenge. This piqued the children’s curiosity and without any prior planning, we held an airplane workshop. The children learned to make different shapes, each with a different style of flight, which again surprised them as they thought there was no logic behind them.
Cu ocazia sărbătorilor echipa noastră și-a dorit să vină în ajutorul persoanelor care au nevoie și să aducă un zâmbet pe fața copiilor care nu au parte de farmecul Crăciunului în familie. Astfel, în data de 20 decembrie am reușit să luăm legătura la centrul pentru persoane provenite din medii abuzive și să organizăm o întâlnire.
Am ajuns la centru unde doamna psiholog ne-a explicat mai multe despre felul în care funcționează locația. Aici sunt aduși copii care provin din familii fie fără posibilități materiale, fie care creează un mediu abuziv. Sunt copii care au fost preluați sau care au fost găsiți fugiți de acasă. Acestea sunt cazuri sociale, nu sunt persoane care au creat probleme, doar victime ale unor abuzuri. În cadrul centrului se încearcă o implicare afectivă în viața lor și o integrare în societate. Ni s-a spus să avem grijă și am fost îndrumați spre camera unde se aflau copiii.
În acea zi la centru erau doar 7 dar aceștia au fost nespus de fericiți la vederea pungilor pline cu bunătăți, lucru care ne-a bucurat mult și pe noi. În timpul în care pregăteam robotul și terenul, câțiva colegi au organizat câteva jocuri la care s-au distrat și au primit ca premii ciocolată. Imediat după le-am explicat traseul și i-am provocat să încerce să îl parcurgă în cât mai puțin timp. Pe rând, fiecare a condus robotul, unii chiar de mai multe ori. Erau foarte fericiți, căci nu mai avuseseră ocazia să facă asta până atunci și nici nu mai văzuseră roboți de acest gen.
Adelin și-a făcut auzită pasiunea pentru avioanele de hârtie, descoperită cu ocazia provocării din sezonul acesta, lansarea dronei. Acest lucru a stârnit curiozitatea copiilor și fără să fi planificat anterior, am ținut un atelier de avioane. Copiii au învățat să realizeze diferite forme, fiecare cu un stil diferit de zbor, lucru care din nou i-a surprins căci ei credeau că nu există o logică în spatele lor.
