Event development / Desfășurarea evenimentului:
On August 6, 2022, a Treasure Hunt competition took place whose objective was to promote the Heart of RoBots team among young people in the community.
For the organization of this event, the team members designed, in several brainstorming sessions, the types of activities that were to be carried out, we chose the route and the location of the check-points, but also the type of tasks that were to be completed by to the participants. There was a set of tasks to solve for each department of the club, with questions, quizzes and challenges from which the participants could understand what the duties of each department are. During other meetings, the necessary materials for the event were designed: the contest sheets, the rules, the stickers that were applied to the contest sheets with the completion of a task, the flyers with clues. Together with the club board, the prizes were determined which were awarded to the first three teams that finished the competition.
In the week leading up to the event, the non-technical department promoted the competition on the team’s social media pages and launched the online competition entry form.
On the day of the competition, the registered teams presented themselves at the starting point, received the competition sheet and the first clue, which directed them to the location of the first Check-Point on the route. After solving the tasks at this location, where the members of the engineering department were waiting for them, they were applied the first sticker on the competition sheet and received the next clue to the Check-Point of the programming department, where they had to solve other tasks, after the completion of which they received the appropriate sticker and the clue to the last Check-Point, that of the non-technical department. Uncompleted tasks were penalized with a 2-minute delay at departure.
On August 6, 2022, our team’s first event of 2022 took place. With great hope, our team organized a Treasure Hunt.
The event consisted of carrying out the 3 tests that corresponded to our departments: engineering, PR and programming.
The starting point was the Crâng park, the place where the participants came and received the first riddle that led them to the engineering task, in front of the “Căpitan Aviator Mircea T. Bădulescu” secondary school. Participants were waited on by 3 of the team members and had to answer 5 engineering questions correctly. Each wrong answer was penalized by 5 minutes. At the end of the task, the participants received the following riddle and the first letter: H.
The next task, that of the PR, took place near the church of the Holy Angels. Here, 3 other members awaited the contestants with 3 pictures that they had to recreate. There were no penalties for this task. At the end of this task, the participants received another riddle and the second letter: O.
The last task took place in Iazul Morilor Park. The contestants were given a quiz with questions related to programming by the 3 team members. Here too, any wrong answer resulted in a 5 minute penalty. Finally, after completing the task, the contestants received the last riddle that led them to the finish point, as well as the last letter: R.
The event was successful, all participants of the 8 registered teams keeping very nice memories about the contest, about its organization. The goal of the activity was achieved, with the Heart of RoBots team becoming even better known among the youth in the community.
Being the team’s first event this season, we consider it a successful activity, through which we managed to promote our activity and make ourselves known among the young people of the city. Thanks to this day, we introduced the concept of robotics and at the same time had fun highlighting STEM values. During the day, I also talked to the participants about the First Tech Challenge competition and urged them not to hesitate in the future to sign up for any activity of this kind.
În data de 6 august 2022, a avut loc un concurs de tip Treasure Hunt al cărui obiectiv a fost cel de promovare a echipei Heart of RoBots în rândul tinerilor din comunitate.
Pentru organizarea acestui eveniment, membrii echipei au conceput, în câteva ședințe de tip brainstorming, tipurile de activități care urmau să se desfășoare, am ales traseul și localizarea check-point-urilor, dar și tipul de task-uri care urmau să fie parcurse de către participanți. A existat câte un set de task-uri de rezolvat pentru fiecare departament al clubului, cu întrebări, quizz-uri și provocări din care participanții puteau înțelege care sunt atribuțiile fiecărui departament în parte. În timpul altor ședințe au fost concepute materialele necesare desfășurării evenimentului: fișele de concurs, regulamentul, stickerele care erau aplicate pe fișele de concurs odată cu rezolvarea câte unui task, flyerele cu indicii. Împreună cu boardul clubului au fost stabilite premiile care au fost acordate primelor trei echipe care au încheiat competiția.
În săptămâna dinaintea evenimentului, departamentul non-tehnic a asigurat promovarea concursului pe paginile de social-media ale echipei și a lansat formularul online de înscriere în competiție.
În ziua concursului, echipele înscrise s-au prezentat la punctul de start, au primit fișa de concurs și primul indiciu, care i-a orientat către locația primului Check-Point de pe traseu. După rezolvarea taskurilor de la această locație, unde îi așteptau membrii ai departamentului de inginerie, li se aplica primul sticker pe fișa de concurs și primeau următorul indiciu către Check-Point-ul departamentului de programare, unde aveau de rezolvat alte taskuri, după finalizarea cătora primeau stickerul corespunzător și indiciul către ultimul Check-Point, cel al departamentului non-tehnic. Task-urile nerealizate au fost penalizate cu câte 2 minute întârziere la plecare.
În data de 6 august 2022 a avut loc primul eveniment al echipei noastre din anul 2022. Cu multă speranță, echipa noastră a organizat un Treasure Hunt.
Evenimentul a constat în realizarea celor 3 probe care corespundeau cu departamentele noastre: ingineria, PR-ul și programarea.
Punctul de start a fost parcul Crâng, loc unde participanții au venit și au primit prima ghicitoare care i-a condus la task-ul ingineriei, în fața școlii gimnaziale “Căpitan Aviator Mircea T. Bădulescu”. Participanții au fost așteptați de 3 dintre membrii echipei și au trebuit să răspundă corect la 5 întrebări legate de inginerie. Fiecare răspuns greșit a fost penalizat cu câte 5 minute.
La finalul task-ului, participanții au primit următoarea ghicitoare și prima literă: ”H”.
Task-ul următor, cel al PR- ului, a avut loc lângă biserica Sfinții Îngeri. Aici, alți 3 membri i-au așteptat pe concurenți cu 3 poze pe care aceștia au trebuit să le recreeze. La acest task nu au existat penalizări. La sfârșitul acestui task, participanții au primit altă ghicitoare și cea de-a doua litera: ”O”.
Ultimul task a avut loc în Parcul Iazul Morilor. Concurenții au primit de la cei 3 membri ai echipei un test cu întrebări legate de programare. Și aici, orice răspuns greșit a dus la o penalizare de 5 minute. În cele din urmă, după finalizarea task-ului, concurenții au primit ultima ghicitoare care i-a condus la punctul de finish, cât și ultima literă: ”R”.
Evenimentul a avut succes, toți participanții celor 8 echipe înscrise păstrând amintiri foarte frumoase despre concurs, despre organizarea lui. Scopul activității a fost atins, echipa Heart of RoBots devenind și mai cunoscută în rândul tinerilor din comunitate.
Fiind primul eveniment al echipei din acest sezon, considerăm că a fost o activitate reușită, prin care am reușit să promovăm activitatea noastră și să ne facem cunoscuți în rândul tinerilor din oraș. Datorită acestei zile, am făcut cunoscut conceptul de robotică și totodată ne-am distrat punând în evidență valorile STEM. Pe parcursul zilei am discutat cu participanții și despre competiția First Tech Challenge și i-am îndemnat să nu ezite pe viitor să se înscrie în orice activitate de acest gen.
